Performing as part of this event is Patricia Clark on fiddle, Sarah Bourke on bodhrán, Séamus Ong on uilleann pipes, Rachael Dooley on harp & traditional sean nós singer Antaine Ó Faracháin.

Hosted by event organiser Gormlaith Maynes, with guest speaker and Mayor of Drogheda, Cllr Paddy McQuillan.

Set in the Highlanes Gallery, this Traditional Irish Music Recital with Martha Guiney (flute) & Ruairí Cunnane (guitar) compliment Caoimhín Gaffney’s exhibition ‘All at Once Collapsing Together’.

The exhibition will examine the restorative power of nature alongside the irreconcilable reality of the climate crisis. The exhibition represents a critical development in the artist’s practice, as they expand from single-channel film work into an installation of multi-screen film, medium format photography, printed text pieces and neon text.

Come join us in Scotch Hall for a practical workshop where children, teenagers & adults alike can trial an array of instruments, to include the traditional Irish harp & uilleann pipes. In this hands-on session, participants will have the opportunity to learn a simple tune, and discover the joy of making music. Whether exploring your musical talents for the first time or adding a new instrument to your repertoire, this workshop is for you!


Suited to participants aged 6+. Hosted by Music Generation Louth, Na Piobairí Uilleann & Drogheda Comhaltas.

Michael Rooney, a renowned composer and master of the Irish harp, has been honoured as the TG4 ‘Composer of the Year’ in 2017 and has created numerous acclaimed suites, including his latest, "A Deep Ravine," reflecting on significant historical events of the Irish border.

June McCormack is an award-winning flute player and TG4 Gradam ‘Young Musician of the Year’. Together they bring their profound expertise and passion for traditional Irish music to the stage, ensuring a night of musical brilliance from this extraordinary duo.
